What is the need?

==> Young boys and girls are aware of the risks of drug use

==> Faculty, families and communities understand the risks of drug use

Why is there a need?

==> General decline in parent/teenagers discussions on: 

- Dangers of alcohol and drug abuse 

- How they affect their development 

==> Increase in Latino presence between 1990 and 2000 nationwide:

- 13.2% increase of total population

- 57.9% increase of Latino population

representing more than 44 million legal citizens 

nationwide in 2007
